New Orleans Local 634 scored a major victory Saturday when their candidate Mitch Landrieu won the Mayor's race. Below is part of the story from the Times Picayune newspaper.

Winning the Super Bowl tops off a great weekend for the city and the whole gulf coast region. I am proud a team from the "Fighting 14th" won the Super Bowl. WHO DAT!!

"Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu, son of a former mayor and brother of a U.S. senator, routed five major challengers in Saturday's mayoral primary, riding a sense of regret among voters who rejected him four years ago and extraordinary biracial support to claim an unprecedented first-round landslide victory."
