New Orleans Local 634 scored a major victory Saturday when their candidate Mitch Landrieu won the Mayor's race. Below is part of the story from the Times Picayune newspaper.

14th District Well Represented at HR & ALTS

The IAFF 14th District was well represented at the Human Relations Conference & ALTS Seminar in Orlando last week. We had 25 participants at the HR conference and 55 at ALTS. Thanks to all who attended and thanks to the locals for sending your members to learn.

Tom Miller Elected IAFF General Sec./Treas.

At a special IAFF Executive Board metting Jan.20,2010 Vice President Thomas Miller was elected to the position of General S/T by a vote of 209,599 for Miller and 75,061 for Danny Todd. I am proud to have had the opportunity to run for this positon and appreciate all the support I received.
